At OCMUNC, there are three councils to choose from: the UN Security Council, the UN Human Rights Council, or the Historical Security Council. Delegates will represent a nation to these councils to debate an issue of international importance from that nation's perspective. Then delegates will write resolutions on the given topics. These resolutions will aim to solve the issue with scope and focus, while satisfying the wants and needs of the majority of member states of any given council. All councils are conducted using standard parliamentary procedure, unless otherwise stated by the chair of the council or the OCMUNC Secretariat.
